Rod suggestions

Post by JC Windham » Fri Feb 10, 2017 11:59 pm

Looking for a new Texas rig/jig rod. 1/4-1/2 oz and 15# flouro. What's the most sensitive (and I know this is relative) rod out there these days? Have always been a Loomis guy but slowly building up a negabass arsenal. Rare and discontinued rods that I need to be on look out for? Never fished an evergreen. Or a slant bridge. Looking for something a bit exotic :-)

I would take a look at the Luxxe Oltre B70H or the Ultima 172H.

A Phase III Nautilus would be nice, sensitivity is up there, perhaps not "the best" but excellent in my hands. I might know where to find one in a couple weeks

Gary is right about the Nautilus as I purchased one of those from him as well. Very nice rod indeed.
