Just noticed this. That Chronarch looks nice....we'll a couple of them do.

keep in mind that japan tackle is quite a bit more expensive than at least 3 other big stores in Japan i have used.

for example they are selling the Aldebaran for $350 and it is under $290 at other stores.

I agree, I just got my first JDM a few days ago in the mail. A Metanium DC for about $84 dollars cheaper than this site above. Free shipping to, and fast wow. The chronarch does look nice though so doesnt the scorpion dc. :big grin:

I'm aware they are pricier, but they have the most info/best spread to view and shop.

Jun has always been helpful. I've put my deposit in for the Shimano Conquest BFS \:D/

Disappointed that the Scorpion DC 100 is the same size as a Curado 200!

Do some research. The scorpion DC is going to have a spool like the Brenious where the line capacity will be reduced to 100 size.

In shimano terms the number i.e. 100 or 200 has nothing to do with physical size of the reel. It's more about line capacity of the spool. The Curado 200 I is physically very small. It's noticeably smaller than the Metanium which is a 100-150 size(spool) currently.

I knew about the spool sizes but i assumed the Curado I was similar in size to my old E7. Im again thinking about the Scorpion DC on my spinnerbait rod and the 200e7 size would have been a deal breaker. Metanium or smaller sounds great.

Yeh, I could not resist it either, I think I got spot #2 for a RH one. I should get it just in time for white perch season.

I pre-ordered a Stile SS 151PG yesterday. Got an email back in under an hour saying I was the first in line.

I bought last years Stile 101PG and loved it, but it's a shallower spool and is meant for closer distances. This 151PG should make an awesome deep cranking reel now that they deepened the spool up. It's hard to complain with a 5.7oz deep cranking reel. Looks like another winner from Shimano.

I'm first in line for a scorpion bfs and 268 dollars isn't so bad.
and just under 6oz the "one" I need for my new glx 802 and should(will) be a perfect balanced combo.
grtz Tioke.

Could someone please name or message me the "other" JDM web sites referred to here? I heard of sites in Austrailia and in Isreal, but I can not locate them.

Also, if I'm listed as "first on waiting list" for a Chronarch MGL, any idea what that wait would be? I have messaged Mr Sonona, just no response yet.
