How is the taper on this rod? Thinking of ordering it for top water, but afraid it will be too parabolic for my liking.
Thank you.
I say moderate taper
Thanks, and the handle is shorter from what I can figure out from the description?
From butt cap to top of lock nut is 13" 1/4 and from butt cap to end of cork grip were it meets reel seat is 8" 3/4.
Thank you!

Man...some of these rods look like they could be a lot of fun. I was going to pass, but I am thinking I might have to pull the trigger on one. Now which should it be... :-k

Looks like a lot of TT members jumped on that Japanese sale, majority of the series already sold out at JLS website.
And I think they showed up just several days ago.
I had one in order from jpangler but for 15 bucks more bought one from ttt and comes with a warranty. Imo I think it's worth it
Shipping and duties add up quickly when not living in the States.
To the detriment of a warranty, I saved considerably by ordering overseas.

Finally broke down and ordered an xXx Chimaera from TTT. Going to be my secondary jig/worm rod.
Any idea when they'll start coming in Gary?

They have started trickling in, quite a few have been shipped out, and everyone who has ordered has either gotten tracking or an email about their order. There will be another round coming in with several more rods early next week and will ship out then. All orders are placed with the factory at the time of order and are shipped as soon as they arrive at the shop. Megabass clearly underestimated the popularity of this series! As of this morning, Destruction, Rattle Viper, and Black Themis are left in stock at The Tackle Trap and ready to ship now...

i got the Destruction and Rattle Viper today from The Tackle Trap. these rods feel awesome in hand.

the Destruction is my heaviest powered rod and one of my best balanced. with a Met DC (6.8oz) it balances at the lower part of the foregrip, where it reads Orochi. Its hard for me balance the rod on my finger as the reel is in the way. if this rod fishes half as good as it feels i will be a very happy man.
