i do wish they would say what guides they put on them, can tell from the pics that they are a tangle free design (on the spinning rods anyways) but no mention of brand or insert material.

Are these rods going to be available stateside? Or will it just be ordering from a Japanese site?
Price point looks great, especially with the current dollar/yen exchange rate.

Re: Orochi XXX
Just came across some new intel on the Orochi XXX (i hope this is no repost):
http://www.megabass.co.jp/site/informat ... chixxx_sp/
If you look closer a the page you will come across the technique recommendations for the specific models in their line up and there even is a complete chart that compares the models. At least Shimano has done these kind of chart quite some time now for their rods and i am somewhat thankful for them, giving a coarse overview over the lineup.
But i also have a bit of a struggle with them, especially on how far I can rely on this judgment as to which model suits what technique (may it be subjective, objective or what ever). For example how much should I be reconsidering on pulling the trigger on the F2.5-67K (with throwing light (5g) texas rigs arround) just because Megabass does mention the use of said "light texas-rig" for the black themis?
What is your Opinion? Can we rely on this type of recommendations or are they for people complete new to the subject just to give the e rough overview or are they completely random?

Re: Orochi XXX
How much are they going to be here in the states very tempted to order one from jpangler. Has anyone found any better pricing then jpangler ?
Shimano and Gloomis just kick @ss, 17 Phoenix 919 225 Merc 225
Re: Orochi XXX
Pretty sure they are a JDM rod only. Gary said earlier in the thread he may get some. If he does they probably will be higher price but will be able to get you warrantee. I am just assuming this. But that seems to be how it usually works. I would rather pay a little more and get the warranty.shimanogloomis man wrote:How much are they going to be here in the states very tempted to order one from jpangler. Re: Orochi XXX
When looking at the description of the rods on The Tackle Trap website, if you'll notice at the bottom left hand side, there is a rod deflection chart for each model in the series. Some folks might find this information useful. Click on the small icon and it will bring up a larger version that's easy to view.

That mat bucker has my eye. Looks like a fun rod to skip under overhangs with.

Really liking this feature. Hoping that MB continues to offer these deflection charts moving forward!bronzefly wrote:When looking at the description of the rods on The Tackle Trap website, if you'll notice at the bottom left hand side, there is a rod deflection chart for each model in the series.
