Any Pixy Enthusiast left?
Any Pixy Enthusiast left?
With all the SV variants and the DIY spools; is there any love left for the Pixy? I am still using an Airy Red, Yellow, and Type R. Still good little reels. Though I am considering selling mine. Just worried about the market for them right now.

Re: Any Pixy Enthusiast left?
As a long time Pixzilla enthusiast, I sold my last one earlier this year. I'm with you on the SV spool on almost every Daiwa baitcasting reel. That thing is awesome.

Re: Any Pixy Enthusiast left?
I just got an Airy Red spool to put into my Type R, so looking for good things from it. The only other PX is a SBR and really enjoy casting with it. They've lost so much of their value I'm not going to sell them.

Hold on to them, their market value at the moment is not great
As with the Steez 1,selling for a reduced price would be a big mistake

I still run two of them. For jerkbaits i dont know if i have found a better reel than the type R, between casting distance, size of the reel making it easier to work the bait, and it just all out is a cool looking reel. Wont be selling either of mine at all, and as others have stated worth hanging onto with the current price they are going for. For the right presentations they are still some of the best little reels made IMO.
Re: Any Pixy Enthusiast left?
I might shelf queen them for a bit and buy some "enthusiast" rods or custom build some rods.

Re: Any Pixy Enthusiast left?
I sold my yellow pixzilla last year, but still have an px type r. I'd take a beating if I sold it so I hung on to it. I recently put a diy spool in it and I'm extremely impressed. Once upon a time the pixy was the finesse reel of choice. I preferred the 51e with avail spool, but now with a diy I'm all set.

There are certain reels in my collection that will never be sold. The Pixzillas are in that category.
