In terms of cost, true. Personally, I don't mind paying the extra cost.bassm1n wrote:Never understood the need for hard case. Just made shipping more difficult.

Wondering if they have a full size grip, or the "slim grip". Hate that slim grip.

X2 on the slim grip.

If a slant bridge becomes available I'm all over it.

The grips appear to be the same style as those on the original C40 line which were not "slim" as on the X4 Destruction for example. The cork looks beautiful to me!TommyG wrote:Wondering if they have a full size grip, or the "slim grip". Hate that slim grip.
I'm thinking that if there was going to be one in this line up Robert, they would have announced it... slant bridge or not, these are some amazing looking rods. Maybe we'll see the reintroduction of the slant bridge on some rod in the future. A slant bridge ARMS Super Leggera would be niceRedlinerobert wrote:If a slant bridge becomes available I'm all over it.

I am wondering if there will be 30th anniversary reels as well?

I've heard rumors...Westbankcougar wrote:I am wondering if there will be 30th anniversary reels as well?
*edit, not on a 30th reel, but on Megabass concentrating their efforts on finally releasing a revamp.
We've never seen light of day in regards to the Lauda, let's hope they don't drop the ball on this one.

Would the mephisto make a good senko rod or is the med fast taper to slow?

Re: Megabass Evoluzion 30th Anniversary Legend Works Limited
It's less about the taper and more about the whole package. Some mod fast rods are just fine with baits like a Senko. I've fished the C40 Mephisto a lot and would not suggest it as a Senko rod. Sure you could toss a 5" or larger Senko on there, but in the C40 line, which I expect blank wise to be pretty similar to the 30th LWL, I'd prefer the Diablo if a Senko was my primary application.Dustys60 wrote:Would the mephisto make a good senko rod or is the med fast taper to slow?

I just have been debating a new 893 but for some reason i keep trying to find a mega bass rod that would be comparable. I don't have a problem with Loomis just really like mb rods.bronzefly wrote:It's less about the taper and more about the whole package. Some mod fast rods are just fine with baits like a Senko. Re: Megabass Evoluzion 30th Anniversary Legend Works Limited
I really like Megabass rods too, but the NRX 893 JWR is a world class 5" Senko rod. If that's your primary application, unless you could find a Megabass F5-76X Nautilus, "maybe" an X7 Extreme Mission, there isn't anything in the new 30th LWL line up that will stack up to the NRX as a truly incredible 5" Senko rod. For what it's worth, this is only one somewhat educated opinion as I haven't fished any of the 30th rods, but do have quite a bit of experience with the previous C40 line.Dustys60 wrote: I just have been debating a new 893 but for some reason i keep trying to find a mega bass rod that would be comparable.
