I doubt it, the new SVS brakes fly open the opposite way, and in the Casitas the brake drum/pipe in the sideplate is much larger than the drum on my older style svs infinity reels.

The new scorpion is a small reel. So the red scorpion 200 is still one of the best price reel with a good line cap

The Antares have always been a freshwater reel. For the price i will definitely give it a miss and stick to my saltwater friendly metanium dc 2015

649 dollars is just as "bulky"
Ah, how disappointing, not fine for saltwater. I still actually still wanted one but I need saltwater capable.

Not entirely true, the older antares 97-2011, v2 was okay for saltwater at least according to Jun:

But yeah, I shouldn't have held my breath hoping for saltwater use for this upcoming one.

I'm thinking the MGL Met for frogs ! Anyone agree. Without spending the $650 for the DC Antares it looks like the best option

Why not a 15MetaniumDC? Less than $400. Slings baits like crazy!

Show Mono has a lot of girls to choose from.

The above message is what that idiot Siri wrote. LOL

What I wanted to say is that Shimano has a lot of different reels, new and old, coming out that everybody should be happy.

I just notice that the Z has a silver collar on the side cover plate where the Star drag goes in. My regular Met doesn't have it.

Yeah that is why i built two other ZPride clones in red and legend blue because i also didn't like the other colors. It ends up costing more than the ZPride itself with everything bought separately and that doesn't even count the free F-Zero oil.
