Shimano Scorpion XT (Rod)
I just received a Scorpion XT 1631FF. I bought it blind on clearance from Plat. Its 6'3', with a lure rating of .5-15g and line rating of 6-12lb. Info/reviews for this rod are hard to find. Does anyone know when Shimano launched this series of rods? Any info would be appreciated.Thanks. Thanks

They came out right around when the poison glorious series came out. I remember reading a member here said they handled one and was not impressed? What do you think of yours?deathb4golf wrote:I just received a Scorpion XT 1631FF. I bought it blind on clearance from Plat. Its 6'3', with a lure rating of .5-15g and line rating of 6-12lb. I haven't fished it yet. The rod came in a zippered, fleece lined, suede cover. My first impression was of a nice clean build. Guides, wraps and epoxy were all perfect. Rod was made in Indonesia. I'll test it out next week.
