The all silver color makes it classy but still maintains its aggressive looks.

That's a great looking combo, Phippy!
If it fishes half as good as it looks, you're golden.

FYI for those waiting for yours......you cannot move the latch to remove the side plate until the dial is in the "OPEN" position shown here.

It would be awesome if some of the MET DC owners could post some thoughts/observations on how the DC performance compares to the standard Metanium (casting distance, pitching etc.).

For the folks who have the Metanium DC, how would you rate the smoothness retrieve? Is it closer to Metanium 13 or better(like conquest 14).

its the same, its not going to be any different then the metanium 13. this reel is just the metanium 13 with a dc unit installed. both fantastic ,smooth reels.

Thanks for the reply! I know it has S3D spool as well as micro module gearing. The only other reel that I have with S3D spool is the Conquest 14, so I was wondering how much of its ultra smoothness was due to it.

My metanium DC has been in customs in LA for 2 days now. Looks like I'll be waiting or paying or both. I've ordered maybe 5 reels from Japan this is the first time its spent any time at customs.

The two reels that I got hit import taxes with both spent a long time in the hands of customs... keep your fingers crossed!

For how long did they sit there for? If I'm spending that kind of money on something you'd think either they shouldn't take their time or theyd give you some sort of explanation or update . but were talking about the government here.

JapanTackle. Looks like some ALD50's are available for order once again. 2 Available at $335
Also JPangler has some Metanium DC's in stock. $384.29 good price.
