I was looking for some info on these as well yesterday. They look like great rods, and I've seen a member or two post pics of a Gladiator series rod they had, but they're hard to find for sale and even harder to find good solid reviews of them. Looking at an old post here on the forums, it was mentioned that Raid Japan was started by a couple of former Megabass employees. Whether that's true or not I don't know.

I think DaiwaRick has plenty of experience with the Raid Gladiator series. I would shoot him a PM if I were you.

Raid Japan was started by Kanamo, his nickname, I was lucky to spend about about 4 hours with him at the 2015 BM classic. Kanamo had some of his baits that were not on the market yet. We had a small fish tank at our booth (Lees global tackle). He gave us a demonstration of his baits and explained to us how he developed each of his baits and their specific action. He had a exact idea for each of his baits and how he wanted them to preform in the water. I have some of the bait actions on video. If you are interested in seeing any you can email me at rbartz69@aol.com

I have the Gladiator-transporter and skywalker, and I really enjoy fishing them; theyre aesthetically pleasing, light, sensitive and powerful rods. Performance-wise, theyre in line with my evergreen super cougar. Im soon to try the technix lineup.

Set my eyes on these just recently, too.
Raid is one of the few Japanese producers, that have decent English descriptions for their rods on the homepage.
Here is the one for Transporter:

Has anyone tried Transporter for jerking? And how is the casting performance?

Casting on the transporter is pretty darn good; precise/accurate. But i find the Skywalker is better suited for jerking, imo; more aggressive tip. Both rods are stellar. You wont be disappointed getting either one for hard baits. Both are in the range of 119-123grams rod weight.

I am actually into soft-tip jerking since some time. But it has to recover fast. And transition into backbone has to be close enough to the tip.

By the way, how accurate are the lure raitings for Skywalker and Transporter?
Specially for Skywalker - casting-wise and jerking-wise?

Lure rating is pretty accurate on both, imo. casting is great on both, as well, but i think the skywalker casts just slightly better, only because I like a stiffer rod when jerking (ok, that did sound right, Lol)

Interesting video, where Transporter is being used for the new big minnow from Raid.
Also being twiched. Seems to be up to the task.

I've always wanted the Bush Hunter. One of the best rod names ever 8-)
