Thumb bar and shape around the t-wing looks like a tatula, just with more cut outs.

Yeah,thats my guess.
A 200/300 sized 'Tatula' based reel for saltwater use.Could be great for larger baits :-k
The 'carbon inlay' on the hood looks sweet(as seen on the spinning version spools)

I'm sure we will know after the show starts 21/03/14

Morethan is typically a seabass reel, so your guess feels proper. Only other idea would be the TWS Zillion everyone has been wishing for. Either way, if it's a high end Tatula...count me in.

Hmmm... maybe a new generation of morethan baitcast rods to go with it too! [-o<

Took this picture and compared with Tatula side by side. It certainly looks like a variant, with cut outs on the thumb rest above t wing, some with carbon inlay, some without, and inserts along the rear frame to side plate interface, like the zillion series. Very interesting.

8.1:1 gear ratio, and it has the "SV spool" line arond the middle of the spool.. Also, the magforce dial looks to be in a different position. :-k Also looks like it has a zillion/tdz style cast control knob. It doesn't look as wide as the standard tatula though. Also, there is a little hump next to the CC knob kind of like the shimano reels with x-ship. Maybe a free floating spool?

A Morethan baitcast reel for the Morethan baitcast rods, finally. =D>

Hopefully Daiwa give us sth high end in the "Branzino standard", not the watered-down "Morethan".

I'd say a very clever marketing move to get the end users talking about a reel before it is released.

I hope the reel is as successful as the marketing. =D>

Aren't SV spools the only spools that have that little line going around the middle of the spool for you to tie your line to? :-k What if...

Daiwa has been making variations on line ties on spools for 15 years or so.

Looking at the JDM Tatula spool it has the groove down the middle and when looking at an SV spool it is smooth with the exception of the line groove down the middle. Also looking at the USDM Type R it also has a line groove in the middle of it.
