I'm thinking its the same shell but uses a different braking system, spool, color, and handle.

That's unfortunate. I guess I'll be waiting to see what comes out next year!

ZMAN.... While a lack of a clicking drag is a small setback, the drag on the pixy and presso actually is one of it's biggest pluses. When TT did their lab test on the pixy, the maximum drag measured in at three pounds of pressure. That was about one half to one full pound more than they expected and a surprise.

Point being I wouldn't let this stop you, if anything the drag is a big plus. This is a wonderful little reel , it is going to be hard to improve on what it is intended for. However, maybe ITO engineering and the I'ze factory will shock us next year.

Gambler,

I understand about the drag pressure. But non-clicking drag seems pretty inferior to me at this point. The reel still looks pretty sweet. If it could work for bass fishing, and I mean work well, I'd probably still try it.

Wow that is a sweet looking little reel. I love the colors. The stock handles with the orange caps looks awesome. Guess I should pencil one of those in at the bottom of my wish list.

Spool of other profile and, in my opinion, there is no MagForceV(Z): a usual magnet system. Probably, for the most small baits the straight-line characteristic is better, than characteristic of MF.

Here is my take from translations and trying to understand the different divsions of daiwa. I could be wrong ,but from what I can tell "Silvercreek"
is either a divison, or line of dawia products geared towards trout and creek/small river fisherman. So there appears to be a separate team working on the project. Yes they did chose to leverage off the pixy, in what they call a a supertuned pixy for even lighter baits . There is no doubt the base of the reel is distinctly pixy. The brake system is simple magforce, not V system. they have appeared to shave off a little weight in the handle, spool , and I am assuming that the simple magforce maybe a little lighter. Keep in mind my stock reel as is weighed 5.25 oz a full .25 oz lighter than reported by daiwa, and a full .5 oz lighter than the pixy. I am making a huge assumptioon here in that the I'ZE factory may have had some hand in it, or was consulted. The I'ZE spool looks to be a presso spool painted. What we do not know, is if they made any other small tweaks to the simple magforce that they are not talking about. I can throw 1/16 oz baits with ease, and even threw a 1/32oz bait fairly effortlessly. I have thrown a pixy before, and I can tell you that the PRESSO is all PRESSO. If your a light line junkie, or a trout fisherman this is a must have. For those that want to push it for bass it will hold up to 100M of 6lb.
