Calcutta CTE or calcutta conquest

Hi all,

I am thinking about to get a casting saltwater reel CTE 400 and conquest 400 and can anyone tell me what is the differnent between the two reel apart from more bearings and cost $150 more?

Conquest has cold forged handle with bearings in the knobs - very nice.

Also you have click (micro-click) on the cast control cap and the drag star - these upgrades are worth the extra alone.

Other upgrades are drilled side plate with plastic backing. Conquest 300 and 400 don't have wiffle spools though.

I have a CTE400 (pre TT days) and five Conquests ranging from 50-400 sizes. My advice go for the Conquest

You also you usually get an awesome leather case with conquests.
The conquest 400 has a drilled side plite and cross bar which looks awesome. However, i believe the TE has a clicking star drag (but not cast control cap)

My 201 TE has no clicking star drag, still a very nice reel

i am lookin into gettin a conquest, they look awsome, either the 50 or the 100...well while im at it why not get both

I like the conquest 50 that thing is so tiny. That or the 100 might have to replace my calcutta 251 which is a little to big for me .

I've looked at the new shimano Torsa and I love it. I think I would get one rather than the conquest
