They were pretty loud on the cast as well due to problems with the pinion gear not completely disengaging and rubbing the spool shaft, but they were workhorse reels. The cu200b was my first casting reel and I will never forget that reel. :-({|=
+2 for the Curado B, I had two, and still have one in mint condition, Countless Steelhead, Stripers and King Salmon up to 40lbs and still just as smooth as the day it was new and I have never experienced a single issue, cleaned correctly they would bomb lures with the best at the time and never had one drag washer issue not once! now I did service a number of them that had user abuse or neglect issues! I have not owned another reel that has been as durable or reliable, I seem to burn through gear sets in every reel I own; Curado 101B, 201DHSV, 201i, 301E, Met. 13/MGL, Luna 253, Tat CT Type R, and numerous ABU round reels just to name a few. I call that legendary...

Just managed a decent quality Curado 200 - inside great and a few scrates on the top side and in a few other places - otherwise a very easy life since new for $68 posted i cant argue - especially for what they're going for on eBay.

I honestly cant say why I didn't get these when they were available?? So few available for sale here in Aus due to corrosion and poor maintenance of our anglers - this'll be cherished and shelved.

Pick up the Avail 4 pin hub and add two more to aid in control of the spool. Otherwise, can grab the Avail spools along with the mag hubs to have mag brakes. fun fun fun

That's the one! Legend in my book - long retired but a permanent fixture in the tackle collection
