relative sizes of some JDM shimanos (pics)

Post by 21farms » Fri Jun 07, 2013 10:07 am

for anyone interested, here are some pics of JDM shimanos taken from exactly the same distance and angle so you can see for yourself how big they are and how they sit on a rod:
Image
top to bottom: aldebaran BFS XG, scorpion 1001XT, metanium XG, antares
same pics but presented horizontally:

in this one, you can see that the metanium rides almost as low on the rod as a aldebaran

This should be a sticky!

Could you also do one of the profile viewed from the top? Please.

Great post. You just can't hide that antares with the mirror finish.

I agree with the other guys. These reels need to be spooled up and fished. They don't serve their purpose just sitting there. :)

they are spooled up...i just wound the line onto spare reels for the pics. besides, all my lefty reels are getting a break right now because i've got a torn tendon in my right elbow and don't have the strength to hold a rod in my right hand let alone try to set a hook with that arm so it's all right reels for me for awhile.
