Daiwa Ryoga for deep crankbaits ?

Does anyone use the Daiwa ryoga 1016 5.4:1 reel for small mouth bass deep diving crankbaits? Just bought one and just wanted to know if I was the only one using this reel for this application. Wanted a round reel for this app.
