Help me pick some 110's.

Post by The Doc » Wed Dec 12, 2012 11:59 am

K, I'm planning on streamlining my jerkbaits, as I don't usually throw them all that much. Yeah yeah, I know I'm missing out, so I'm trying to expand my technique. I'm planning on picking up 8 110s. (actually I'm planning on picking up 8 110's, 4 110 magnums, and 3 110+1's, as I already have 1 of the plus ones' in Pro Blue.)

Help me pick out 8 colors. 2 for clear water, 2 for stained, 2 for muddy, and 2 that you just gotta have! After I get a good poll on what your top producers are, I'll get some ordered! Thanks boys!

Yeah, I'm trying to avoid buying a ton of them, so I don't have to go through a huge debate on what color to throw. I sold a box of them a few months ago and I've been regretting it ever since. I think I had 15 baits, some of them down eye, some straight eye and it was the worst tackle sale I ever made. I've been kicking myself in the A$$ ever since. Now I gotta get some more and this time I won't sell them off! I know I definitely want Deadly Black and Pro Blue, but I gotta find some other really good producers, maybe red viper, mat firetiger, dunno....... gotta find some though.

I have not been using jerkbaits long but the pearl/bone color is a must have.

clear water- pro perch and a wakasagi or skeleton TN shad
stained water- table rock shad, elegy bone and a kinkuro for tannic water
muddy- I dont really throw these in mud, but french pearl, mat tiger or table rock would work

must haves- probably pro blue, one of the sexy shads, and biwahigai and HT ITO TN shad ;)

The Ito Wakasagi and M Shad colours have done well for me... Elegy Bone is good for stained water I believe.

FX 110 elegy bone, colour shifting purple/blue on top, yellow down low.
A moving beak. I've caught 3 different species of fish in as many days.

Won't tell you my fav colors but one of my most non collectable color I tie on is the Flashing Wakasagi, fish go crazy over the purple belly.

BTW you can NEVER have too much 110's. TRUST me. I sold my NIB GP IL Chart shad and I kind of regret it but I know I will never tie it. Even though I sold some and tell myself I don't need it, I just ordered 2 more limited colors.   Soon I will order backups for those too ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

i agree....you need at least 2-3 of your favorite colors. MB often times only does one time runs and never produce the same color again.

Yeah, don't think I don't regret selling all of mine to you a few months back!!!.... I've been kicking myself in the ass ever since. It's okay, I plan on getting my Vision 110 on real shortly and restocking. Just gotta make some color selections.

Anyone have thoughts on the FX yet? Anyone predict bill malfunctions or fragility?
