Megabass Destroyer Orochi Black Elseil

Anyone using this rod for throwing 110s? How do you like it? How does it balance with a reel under 7 ounces? Is it powerful enough?

This is my go to rod when throwing jerkbaits. I have a Core 100 mounted, and it is extremely light and balanced. I believe the Core weighs in at 6.1 ounces. This combo has plenty of power for how light it is. I've taken some decent sized stripers with it, no sweat.

Will this rod also work for topwater or cranking as well. Looking at this or the Steez Flex 6'5"

Yes, this rod will work well for topwater and crankbaits due to the softer tip.

Mine is on its way. Should be here by Thursday. Can't wait to throw a 110 on it. I will probably buy a new reel for this rod, just can't decide what reel I want.

Asked Catherine about this rod today at MBUSA and she didn't even have it on her price list yet. My understanding it's a $600+ rod, that hurts. ](*,)
