cork knobs?

Post by sofinesse » Mon Nov 14, 2011 3:13 pm

Not sure if this is where I should pose this question so mods feel free to move where appropriate, but does anyone know where I can source round cork reel knobs? I know tsuribi made some but it seems all that are left are their EVA knobs, is there a cork shortage? I think Yumeya also made some but I cannot find them anywhere, are there other cork knob manufaturers? Want to put some on my daiwa tdx, but not ready to pay 50+ for the Daiwa I-style knobs. thanks for in advance :D

There is a cork supply issue...cork has been going up in price and down in quality.

No idea where to get round ones...

Round cork? Buy some wine......

I am also looking for some cork knob for my shimano conquest, but I think the Yumeya's are too pricy. Even more expensive than Daiwa's RCS cork knob.

I am willing to pay for the RCS's, but Yumeya's have crossed my bottom line......

Japantackle.com has some rcs cork knobs in stock, they appear to be slightly I style. Never seen round cork knobs before.

if you have a source for OEM JDM parts there are other options besides the Yumeya knobs :-$

Not to belabor the point, but those are two bodaciously good looking reels. 8-)

those reels are super sweet, haha I guess that is why all my wine has those plastic wrapped foam bits instead of real cork, the daiwa Cvz's also come with a stock round cork knob.
