Megabass Destroyer F7-77X (new model.."Record Breaker")

Post by MontaKen » Wed Aug 31, 2011 12:47 pm

Hi!
During last year i've used a lot the original F7-77X "Randy Blaukat" ("Triple Seven" for friends!!) and i've found it a very nice rod for heavy cover fishing (texas style, 3/8-3/4oz jig, frogs..), but i've also found it a little bit bad balanced..

Anyone have tried the new model called "Record Breaker"? It's fast and powerful like the old one? Better balanced?

The only difference on paper is the raccomanded line: 14-30lb for the "old" model, 12-30lb for the new one.. :-k

Thank you and sorry for my poor English!! :D

I have been trying to find information on this rod as well, but there is very little out there.

the new rod is the same power , maybe alittle faster - much littler , more sensitive

overall, It's got much more lighter so has better sensitivity, and the grip is probably preference, some would not like. its kinda thin,,,

freakin sweet stick........

Hey Brue..or someone...

"much lighter", not sure how to quantify that? :?:

Anyone know what it weighs? Bruce, can your friend weigh one? :?:

Just wondering how it would compare weight wise to a NRX??

Bill

I will but i got a feeling the NRX are lighter , alot lighter , but I don't remember the NRX having a flippin stick in their line up yet to compare it too. He was was talkin about the new rod being alot lighter in weight compared to the old megabass F7-777x randy model ;)
