I dont know... =P~ But My presso can cast lower then what they rate the SPR at..

Daiwa PX68 SPR (Small Plug Revolution) model specializes in casting light weight rigs in 3.5-7g (1/8-1/4oz).

Its braking system has been swapped to centrifugal system to help in casting at slow swing speed. The Magforce V/Z system requires relatively fast swing speed to activate the brake conductor rotor, but with the super light weight and ultra finesse rods, swing speed tend to be slower to load well. This SPR allow anglers to load the flexible rod well. and soft presentation.

Looks insane! I like the idea of a centrifugal brake system, something sort of new for Daiwa reels. That spool looks like it would be quite light with that very well done porting. Overall the reel looks like a Presso upgrade (not lure size).

When I found out this new Pixy would have centrifugal brakes, I was really excited.
But when I found out that it was only a 2-pin system, I was disappointed.

Maybe they don't want it to seem like they are following in Shimano or Abu's footsteps, with 4-pin or 6-pin centrifugal brakes?

I think at least 4 pins would have have given users more flexibility, application-wise.

Why do you NEED 4 or 6 pin anyway? Kinda pointless when most people only set 2 on shimanos.. ;)

Finally some light over this centrifugal brake option =D>
BTW, my Alphas R edition cast 3.5g lures without many problems :-k
Hope this Pixy cast them without any problem

If the brakes are up, and the spool tension is set to its lowest (set just so there is no side-to-side play), it could give better distance on casts.
At least that's what I've experienced with some of my reels, casting 1.8-3.5g lures.

*As opposed to having less brakes, but spool tension is set higher.

they chose centrifugal system cause shimano and daiwa is merging...daiwa has finally thrown in the towel...of course this is all speculation...haha
