Wow, i take it by your expression that it's one hell of a nice reel. I think it matches my AM DGS-610 even better than the Sephia. Decisions, Decisions............

I have purchased to much in the past month. I don't believe that reel would protect me from the elements. I would be out on the street!

For those of you that have this reel, Would you say its till worth the price? Or is it better to just go with an exist or certate as mentioned in some of the other threads here. And from a collectors standpoint, Is it worth the price with those scratches?
Thanks

I think id take a brand new Steez spinning for that price. Im not really into spinning gear like that but if that was TD Ito casting id be wanting it for sure.

Not as collector's item in that condition. The base reel was good.

The Sephia is big for the Aaron Martens and so is the TD-ito 2506. Get a 2000 size reel for that stick (I bought another Daiwa Exist 2004 for that rod 8-) ).

Food for thought that reel new will be as high as $ 799 according to Jun. I have seen it a new never used before go for about that much on Yahoo japan. These reels are a alot rarer than a TD-ito. So for the price listed with what appears on a scratch on the reel foot seems like a fair value.

It is a very nice reel but the argument for this , or a Exist is no different than a Steez vs TD ito thread. The Steez and the EXIST are superior reels,
but the itos are well Itos. ;)

IMHO I also like the 2506, and the 2500 sized reels on the AM limited. It is just my opinion. The line capacity on the 2004 is just not enough for me.

I agree. The 2506c is more coveted as a collectors item. For the money the Steez or Certate would be a better choice.
The 2506c in mint condition would be, in my eyes, the pinnacle spin reel to a collection.

Its a very nice reel. Long handle, light weight, etc.

I don't feel its $499 nice much less $799 nice.

I don't own other Daiwa's so I can't compare to close models but I do feel my Twinpower's are, performance wise, better reels.

Owning something unique however is more difficult to put a price tag on. And that's the piece of the puzzle here that makes me want to hold on to the reel. I love it for what it is and its well worth what I put into it.

If you're looking for performance, save your money. If you're looking for unique, here it is.
