Megabass Super Destroyer III F6-69X question

Post by bassm1n » Sun Mar 25, 2007 12:42 pm

Hi Guys,
Just got this rod and a Tomahawk GT3 610. I love the GT3. THe Super Destroyer is pretty stout. Seems like it will ge great on jigs and worms. Is there anything else you guys are using this rod for????

Cal covers it pretty well there and congrats on your purchases that Shiryu has got to be the absolute best cranking stick for that price. I simply cannot believe its price.

Yeah I saw the review and that he mentioned worms and jigs. I was surprised to see hard baits , jerks and lipless cranks mentiioned too. It seems too stout for those baits and thought I might be missing something so I posted this topic to see what others were using the rod for to see if it had applications I had not considered.
I think it has a limited use to worms and jigs after trying it . A bit too stiff for senkos and any finesse plastics. Feels great with 1/4 and up rigs.

Did your Super Destroyer come with the new THP handle w/the black reel seat or the partial cork handle with green reel seat?

So how has it been with hardbaits?

Any new impressions? This seems to be one of the most mysterious Megabass rods on this site. Very little mention.

You catch them on evil bay now and then if you keep an eye open. Can be had lately for cheap
