On 23rd April 2019 TT member Professor Scott Sloan aka Strewth passed away while on a guided fishing trip in Weipa , North Queensland Australia. He had been on a mother ship for a few days and on the morning of the 23rd he collapsed and passed away on the back deck of the ship. Doing what he loved and was passionate about.
He made many contributions to this site and to other groups and will be missed.

Wow, so sorry to hear! Scott was a great guy and contributed a lot of great info. Is there an online registry where we can leave condolences for his family?
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Sad news to hear as he frequented a few forums with great knowledge...

Does anyone have a picture of Strewth and his real name - as to pay proper respects? I can't find anything at all. Would be nice to lay a name to face.

Condolences to family and friends.

Yes that is him, As well as his passion for fishing and tackle he is well known in his field of Civil Engineering, if you google him there are many tributes to him from around the world. I considered the man a friend even though had never met him face to face but have chatted many times on fishing tackle related topics. definitely miss chatting with him.

I had the pleasure of sharing a few tackle and fishing related discussions with Scott over the years. His passion and enthusiasm will certainly be missed.
