The tackle shack? Anyone ever stay there?

Post by j2015 » Mon Nov 28, 2016 11:00 am

I was checking out "the tackle shack", it is a property owned by the good folks at the tackle trap.
It looks pretty good for 100$ a night, and it is close to lake guntersville.
Wondering if anyone has ever stayed there?

Or if anyone has a recommendation for a different fishing destination for a winter bass getaway

Thanks!

I've stayed there  The garage is large enough to pull a boat and truck inside if you like, or two boats and two trucks! It's in a very safe location, down a long private gravel drive with neighbors who watch closely. It's very convenient to the lower end of the lake and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby. Call the shop if you have any questions about The Shack or for availability. It really starts filling up in February... 256 281 6160

It's a really nice venue. As Gary stated, the shop has a lot of room, and is well lit so you can work on your tackle in the evening time. The living quarters themselves are clean, and laid out nicely. There is a full size fridge/freezer, a nice stove and oven, and microwave. The couch pulls out into a bed, as well as a roll a way bed, and a bedroom. It's is less than 10 minutes to spring creek boat ramps, and surrounded by good eats.

Awesome! How's the fishing there, I have heard rumors of a decline recently.

Please let those rumors continue

Sure, it's not fishing at it's peak, I'd agree with that. All lakes go through cycles, but Lake Guntersville is still a world class Largemouth Bass fishery make no mistake. Hopefully some of the pressure will be diverted elsewhere for a while, but in the meantime, The Tackle Shack and The Tackle Trap are open for business!
