Thanks to cndbasshunter for taking the time to talk to me at the spring fishing and boat show on Saturday Feb. 14th. Sorry I have not decided to pull the trigger yet on a megabass or zodias rod ...... but my wifes Calfish painted candy apple red/metallic black td-z sure looked like the perfect match on that zodias. My buddy took a few pics of me holding the combo at the show . I told her about the rod when I got home .....i should have got it for her as a valentines gift!

No problem. Saw lots of friends and TT members.
They picked up lots of sick new toys. Aldebaran, conquest, steez, mb rods (evolution, x7, black jungle, xx), Zodias, Nrx, e6x, mb / duo baits...all the good stuff.

Nope, i was wanting to checkout the NRX872S and NRX882\3S. Still can't find the perfect rod for my Stella FI, maybe go with the NRX852S or Shakyhead XX.SteveSchmelzle wrote:were there any nrx inshore rods available at the show?

Re: Thanks to member cndbasshunter
what a surprise.
shimano is a joke these days.
at minimum they should have had their top line of rods in display.
instead they release a lower end rod, while leaving us to "guess" what the nrx inshore rods are like.
now the 804 XMR is a great rod....Bantam helped me big time with the purchase....
we should be able to at least "view" them at the shimano booths.
oh well, i'm sure they had their low end rods available...and lots of right handed reels.

They had many nrx rods just not the model I wanted. The vendors at the show worked very hard, including Shimano.

you have to realize, the models they brought are the same models we can see at the majority of our local tackle shops.
these types of shows are when they have to bring the less common models of rods and reels.

I'm pretty sure there's very few guys interested in In Shore stuff at the Toronto show.
know your market.

Re: Thanks to member cndbasshunter
you'd be surprised.
inshore stuff equals shoreline trout stuff.
inshore stuff equals nice spinning rods for many many uses.
how hard is it to add a dozen more rods to the spread....not hard at all.
reminds me of shimano's bull crap about "sorry, we don't make left handed reels in low gear ratio's because not enough people want them..."
sure, that's it.
