This Grass Carp was caught Oct. 23, 2001 in a farm pond outside Cincinnati on a crisp fall day. The tackle used was a Shakespere Ultralight(just purchased at KMart) with 4 LB Stren UltraThin. We were bluegill fishing when this brut took the jig. An Uncle Henry's 1/64 oz. black/silver jig with a Pink Berkley Power Bait artificial wax worm as a teaser. This combo works well for the bluegill and as is evident from the pics also worked on this carp. Afetr approximately 45 minutes and alot of praying this brute was landed. The fish went over 45 LBS and is almost 45" long. He was released right after these picture were taken.
