Ha! I did have a hard time getting that gripper on there! I started using that thing to keep my thumb from getting torn up. I farm, and I got tired of grease and hydraulic oil and who knows what chemicals getting in the cuts on my thumb. I know, I know, what a terrible problem to have!

Right on...I was just funnin' ya. So long as you don't end up "farming" a biggun'. If you are worried about your thumb getting tore up, you can purchase a rubber thumb protector...it works really well. If I ever get to the point where that bothers me too much, I'll put some athletic tape on there.

We got a 9 1/4lbs back in February while on vacation in FL...kinda ruined LMB fishing once we got home but thank God for smallies!! Hahaah
