new fishing term...?

Post by brwn_bggr » Mon Feb 03, 2014 11:05 am

I was watching a segment of monster fish and they were fishing for tiamen in Mongolia...the host was handling one,to ensure recovery, before releasing it back into the river...while holding on to the fish,he would occasionally lift it up for the camera...my girlfriend asked me why he kept raising the fish out of the water...
I explained that it was for only a short period of time...and she then asked me if that was not unlike waterboarding a human...I said technically, yes it is...she then asked me if when holding the fish out of the water,we called it "airboarding"...?
After a few seconds,I said I guess I will from now on...grin!

I like the term...back on cue with the Taimen - the largest, and likely most ferocious, salmonid in the world.

First time I ever heard of and seen that fish. Looks like a beast that could tear my arms out of their sockets

When watching most fishing shows on TV, host seem to like airbroading fish a lot. Sadist show off.
