Striper Fishing Socal Reservoirs...???

I know that you can catch stripers on both cutbait and artificial lures. I have caught many on cutbait and some on topwater baits...BUT THIS YEAR...I am DETERMINED to catch more on artificial lures.

1. What are the best lures for stripers?
2. Which lure is BEST right now? Late spring-early summer.
3. Which Socal reservoirs are best for targeting stripers with artificial lures?

Sometimes...it seems like I can only catch them on artificial baits in certain lakes. For instance...I can catch them in Castaic lake on a particular topwater bait and retrieve but when I go to Pyramid, Diamond Valley or Skinner and I use the same lure and retrieve...I get SKUNKED. Anyone have this experience?

All I want is to have more SUCCESS with artificial lures when striper fishing in Socal lakes. Any comments, suggestions and input is welcomed and appreciated.
