I'm loving my XX jerk bait special. Perfect tip for getting the action out of the bait, but good parabolic bend to keep them hooked.

My two pennies. I just grabbed a 6'10" Poison Adrena in the fall of a year ago. I adored that bar for a jerkbait. It will be in the watercraft with me this year. In the event that the ice ever softens that is.

6'10 ML Zodias with Metanium. Trying to find a Poison Adrena. Should actually be using a shorter one.

Super light, parabolic when big fish are close to the boat, sensitive to feel the tick if you miss the line jump. I normally favour G.Loomis or Shimano but for jerk baits the F4.5-68XX is a amazing setup. Only fished it over 4 or 5 trips last fall can't wait to spend 3 weeks with this rod this summer.

Shimano Core 50Mg7
Sunlike Reaction FC 10lb Fluorocarbon

No bend hooks, break-offs, or lost fish. So far so good.

MTBF
+1 for this
I have 2 setups that i am actually using for jerks right now. i rh setup and 1 lh setup. my rh setup is a Megabass IS73C(Will probably now use my 68L zonda for this year) on a Megabass FSS. My lh setup is a Steez SV with the Steez Flex-Lite.
If you ask me both ar exceptional. What i think makes the JBS so unique for jerks is that it is only 6.8' gives you a little bit more play for action since the rod is a little shorter.

Depends on what size jerkbaits.
I use a Dobyns champion 685 cb, for pointer 100's and up.
For the lighter stuff GLX 845 cbr.

I don't have a jerkbait rod, usually use a Med, fast action rod, just bought a GLX crankbait rod, gonna try this season.

Dobyns 704cb is a great overall jerkbait rod. I step up to the 705cb when throwing larger baits like the 127mr.

St Croix Mojo 6'8" medium. I use it for double duty on my walking topwater as well. It does both well for me.
