Trip to Texas for Alligator Gar fishing

Post by shengyu25 » Wed Aug 22, 2012 11:37 pm

Hey guys,

I would just like to do a little shout out here (not sure if this is the right section of the forum for this) for my fishing trip in October.

The trip we are looking at consist of 3 days of fishing, from the 25-28th of October and would cater for 2 anglers only. Right now I am looking for someone who is easy going and who would like to spend the better part of his weekend fishing for Alligator Gars in Trinity River, Texas.

We will be accompanied by Captain Kirk who is one of the most recognized captains for gator gars. He fishes 7 days a week for gar only and has more IGFA world records for rod/reel alligator gar fishing than anyone in the world.

If anyone would like to discuss further into such a possibility please drop me a note!

I grew up on the Trinity River and know this to be a fact: If you kill one of our gentle giants, its spirit will haunt you the rest of your life. Catch and release...do no harm.

Thank you! Especially with 50 year old creatures like our gar. It's a little like fishing for a Galapagos tortoise with a stalk of celery. ;)

Have fun in East Texas but don't drink the water in the Trinity.
