Yup, if they´re really originated from the walchensee / bavaria, than they are "real seeforellen". Bigger / faster growth is key to survival in these kind of lakes... (lot of predators like the aforementioned trouts , pike or brookies).
Catching one is not soo easy (tried it a couple of times by my self..)

Later spawn season, later spawning age also contribute to better survival rate and larger adults at time of spawn. Any anadromous would also do better with bigger size and strength when in the big blue for sure.
