Uma delicia....I like peacock filets breaded and deep fried, ceviche, or sashimi of peacock bass, but the tastiest way to eat peacock is to stop around lunch time on a nice white sand jungle river beach, string up your hammock under some nearby trees on the bank and take a little snooze while your native guide grills some 3-5 lb butterfly peacocks (the tastiest in my opinion) over an open fire. What was that old beer commercial ...... doesn't get any better than this.

But I guess any fish you caught yourself, eaten fresh, is about the tastiest thing there is - whether it be grilled peacocks alongside a jungle river, rainbows or grayling pan fried in your streamside Alaskan camp, bass or crappie at the lakeside fish camp, or fried specs or baked red fish in the camp down on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. I practice catch and release mostly, but harvesting a meal now and then is one of the pleasures of fishing trips. Here's to tight lines and full bellies. :)

Looking at the colors of the Peacock bass, I would think they can't be eaten.
Maybe poisonous or something. hehe
