Mepps Black Fury by far. Caught 15 LM in about 2 hours just yesterday. Tried lots of soft baits prior and saw no action. Tried a few spinner baits with no luck. After getting skunked the first 90 minutes, pulled out the inline and my day changed.

As far as productivity is concerned, I've caught a bunch of fish on a Jackall Flick Shake over the last 3 months.

In the Boston Area, I've had great success using the T-rigged Rage Tail Crawfish. I started using jigs 2 weeks ago, and I love it! I caught bunch of bass, one of them being between 5-6lbs.
During the summer, the Live Target frog in black and yellow worked really well as well. However, when I don't get bites, the Thomas Buoyant spoon is a killer. No matter where I go, I always catch a fish with that spoon.

Gotta be a 110 for me. For numbers you can't beat a smaller size plastic worm like a 3" senko, that's what I give my son when we go.

No doubt 4" black senkos either wacky rigged on a 1/16oz wacky jighead or t rigged weightless.

Mepps Aglia (Decoree) style spinners - size according to targeted species. I use size 3 for sea run brown trout. Spinners from some other companies work for me too, e.g. Ilba Tondo.
I may be mistaken, but it seems that inline spinners are somehow frowned upon among bass fishermen in the US. I find that a little funny. Walking through a large tackle shop in the US (and in the EU) you see hundreds of new lures that make various - often hillarious and cliche - claims to fame. I get lured (pun intended) once in a while and mostly get disappointed. In my opinion, some of the best lures on the market today were also available many years ago.

I think you'd be surprised how many smallmouth anglers use inline spinners. Almost a fail safe for some.

Ok, I just very rarely see the inline spinners used when I watch youtube videos on bass fishing (and I watch too many of those videos). When I see/read about the inline spinner being used I have noticed that the angler often makes some sort of excuse for himself. For instance, read this article by Ike:

JK but love to see the variety of responses on here. Goes to show that there isn't a single magic bait out there (besides the wacky rigged senko) but a variety of techniques work, especially when you have confidence / skills in it.

They do catch anything .
I make my own . Once the water warms you'd be hard pressed to find anyone up here fishing with anything but in-lines for muskie. Only the retrieve changes. Same goes for me with pike too.
As far as bass go , caught crap-tons of smallies and the 'white tailed deer of the water' on them also.
