Hi guys
Back in jan. My fishing buddie and I decided to fish lake chickamauga in tenn.
Not soon after that I was getting some goodies from the tackletrap ( is73 and a nautilus) and emailing gary a few times back and forth that I asked him if he ever fished that lake?
Long story short he not only told us where to stay ( blue water campgrounds) but he took a monday and came down and guided and fished with us , showed us the layout of the lake And some of his honey holes with the promise ( if you tell anyone where these are he has to k ll us) my lips are sealed.
With garys help it made the weeklong fishing trip much more relaxing and me more confident boating around the chick.
If I had to give gary a nickname it would be "hookset" cause he does not play around when he gets bit.

I'm glad you and Stan had a great time on your trip to Chickamagua. I really enjoyed spending the day with you guys and sticking a few fish here and there too Keep in touch and you'll have to show me around some of your northern waters someday!

Hi again guys.
Well gary and I fished lake champlain for 4 days starting may 25th of this year.
We fished out of plattsburg ny and hit a few spots for prespawn sm.
The smallies sure did like the swimbaits gary brought with him but he only brought 2 and they only lasted 2 days because the northern pike seemed to like them also.
All 4 days we caught alot of smallmouth, on the last day where we were fishingthe water temp was around 65 degrees and in 8 ft. of water we had sm coming in to spawn , sm locked on their beds and large mouth starting to cruise in.
For me it was a great fishing trip and learning from fishing with gary was more than I could have hoped for.

Thanks Paul! It was a blast, those poor small mouth never had a chance I enjoyed the heck out of it and can see why folks would want to spend a lot of time on that lake, it's incredible
