Pere Marquet

Post by Charlie Tuna » Sat Sep 22, 2007 2:39 pm

Is anyone on TT in Michigan fishing the Salmon run on the Pere Marquet?

I hear it's a slow start this year & was wanting some updates.

Thanks,

CT

If they're not in the PM, I head up to big bear creek or Tippy dam.

Good luck & drop me a line to let me know how you did. I'll be heading up next week.

Thanks,

CT

Drifted the PM from Indian Bridge down to Custer and managed to get 2 kings, a decent brown, and 2 northern pike. There are a lot of fish in the river right now but the warm weather hasnt really turned them on. If you can find some large gravel humps you can probably pull 2-3 fish off each in an hour. I'm heading up to Bear and the Betse next week. Hopefully the weather cools down.

Just got back. The river is loaded.

it will only get better for the next couple weeks.

Caught so many I became bored & went out on Lake Hamlin smallie hunting.

Also caught a few pike on a fly rod on Hamlin.
