O'Neill Forebay

Post by JIP » Sat May 08, 2004 11:18 pm

Fished the Forebay today with Zander on the Nitro and did extremely
well. It was dead slow at first, found fish here and there, and it
was hard to get them to stay on the hook or commit to grabbing
the lure. Then it picked it big time and the fun began. We were catching
fish left and right, we didn't even want to test out other new tackle!
We landed 61 Stripers today with many chasers and drop offs.

Water clarity: excellent
Wind: zero to 25+ mph winds in the afternoon (be very careful out there)
Weed: Almost none

Oh yeah, the fly hatch is going on and when the wind isn't blowing,
they get all over you.

JIP,

61 stripers, I am glad you had good fishing. What was the biggest striper you or Zander caught on that day?

Nothing worth bragging about, but it was fun to catch and release so many.

Yeah, biggest fish was 23 inches. No sizers but boy did we hit some schools. It was crazy....I ripped so many fish my hands hurt by the end of the day. We released them all so hopefully they will grow bigger and badder as the season goes on.

Hey JapanReels,

Even though you want to keep all the stripers you caught or not, you should release them. You can keep only two stripers per day for the grill if you have a stamp on your license.

You don't even know how to get the Cottonwood Bay at O' Neill Forebay with your gears(maybe you don't have gas to get there because you already spent all your money).
"Look for Shiny Poles and Japan Reels" to find you out there?
San Luis Reservoir-Stripers(5/23) on Fishing Report

You keep bragging your fancy Japan reels and Loomis rods. You are a dumb poser. Don't hide yourself behind Japan reels. How much money do you make per year? Do you have your own house in South Bay?

yeah really Japan reels i dont mean to bash on the new guy but i am kind of with skater on this one. We GET THE point, you like expensive japan reels, that is fine but when you post it a thousand times it gets a little annoying.

Get a life, loser. Remember, this is a world wide website. There are many fishermen have much more money than you do and wiser than you are.

Read over what you've been posted ever since you registered, then you will see what I am talking about. Grow up!

Skater, You need to fix your grammar and learn to spell. Like I said, I spent all my money on my fishing rods and I am very poor. Can you give me a ride to go fishing?
