I'm happy. Ice out on my ponds already. Went out Tuesday and Wednesday. I did try lipless, football jig, jerkbaits, ned rig. Nothing. No bite. I fished shallow, deep, really slow. Water is stained, but not muddy. Ponds look dead. Didn't see any baitfish. What do you guys think how long it will take to get bites? Where the bass is?

Use the most sensitive rod you have. Cold fish chew slower.casterus wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 9:59 amI'm happy. Ice out on my ponds already. Went out Tuesday and Wednesday. Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Lol. I was out last weekend - water was so cold all my jerkbaits were sinking. Must have been mid-30's. I scored two on a vision 110. Seems to be one of the best JB's for cold water.
