2017: Favorite Technique to Catch Bass

Like the title says, your favorite technique and put a little blurb on why it is your favorite.

Mine is punching. It's not always the most productive technique but I will gladly catch a few less fish just to punch some weeds.

I really enjoyed fishing big Texas rigged worms and small wack rigged senko type baits this year. I also caught my first fish on a swim jig.

My favorite way to catch ‘em is on top… But my favorite topwater technique is without a doubt Froggin’ so that got my vote.

Quite the variety. I thought jigs and such would have got more love.

I love a topwater blow up so that's what I picked. A very close second is fishing a jerkbait, they're always pissed at that thing ans smash it, plus you never see it coming so when they hit really hard, I get a little jolt of "wow!".

I love that feeling. I've had walleye hit right at the boat on a long jerkbait pause.

I would definitely have to say topwater. Nothing like fishing in the silence when a big ol bass decides to explode on your bait a foot from shore!
My second would be a jerkbait

Paddle tails for this guy. Not to terribly exciting, but it gives me the chance to switch up my retrieve, fish deep or shallow, and overall just play around with it. They work all season every season for me on a broad spectrum of species. A very close 2nd would be a wacky rigged Flick Shake worm. Smallies can't stand watching it sink and quiver in front or above them. Would love to catch more fish on poppers, Jackall Binksy, Deps Buzzjet, etc., but I rarely put the other two down.

Jig fishing has to be my all around fav technique. But that heart skipping topwater action is addicting, when in season.

Actually, my favorite technique is to wait..... till summer..... early in the morning; it really doesn't matter what you use :P
