Give A-mart a few more years and he will be in the "greatest" discussion.

Agree that Aaron Martens is going to be considered the best tournament bass fisherman when his career is done. He reminds me of a modern day Rick Clunn who is so in touch with bass that he seems to be always in contention. KVD was on a roll for many years but he isn't the same ever since Martens started fishing BASS. Right now my money would be on Martens every time he and KVD are fishing. But I would have loved to see Roland Martin go head-to-head with KVD when Roland was in his prime.

My favorite bass fisherman is Larry Nixon. He seems like an all-around nice guy and I loved his fishing show way back when. My favorite fisherman is far and away Al Lindner. That guy paved the way for so many fishermen here in the Midwest.

The Greatest bass fisherman of all time? That's got to be one of the non-tournament guys already mentioned: Buck Perry, Doug Hannon, Homer Circle, and many others who weren't motivated by the money but by the love of the fish.

I would have to say Dan Hernandez because he's more focused on eating than fishing lol

Watching KVD slap around everyone else to the tune of about 80 lbs in MLF affirmed for me that he is the greatest competitive fisherman ever. Aaron is a one trick pony, but it's a good trick. I like him a lot.
KVD may not have reason to be as motivated as in years past, but with a foe as fickle as a bass, Kevin had more consistency for a longer period of time than anyone.

Adam Vinatieri. I once saw him kick a football shaped bass 65 yards, over a dam, and it landed in Ish Monroes boat.
I don't know who the Goat is, but it has to be Kevin or Roland doesn't it? Kinda like the Jordan vs LeBron or Montana vs Brady debate. I don't watch a lot of professional tournaments, but the few I have watched, Skeet always seems to be incredibly dialed in. Personally, I don't like any of those guys. Give me a day on the water with Dave Mercer or Adam Vinatieri

Old school, hard to argue with Roland Martin given everything he has accomplished and he is still a great ambassador for the sport.

Newer school, KVD for his accomplishments / dedication to the sport (just like Roland Martin) - Apparently the new Nitro Z21 is "his boat" and he went through 3 molds before landing on the current design.

Also love Aaron Martens - Very cerebral, adaptable and unique. I mean, between the bird pattern on Havasu last year, chatterbaits on the Potomac and drop shotting, the guy can really do it all.

Favorite? Mike Iaconelli. If there's anyone out there that can eventually push bass fishing into becoming more mainstream, and as a result, likely creating even more competition in the tackle industry, which will in turn promote more innovation, it is this guy.

Greatest? I don't know, I barely follow bass fishing. From the little I do catch, KVD and Aaron Martens. These two guys just always seem to have it dialed in and play a different game than the rest of the field.

Favorite: Bill Dance. His TV show is probably what made me a bass fisherman. He also reminds me of my grandpa.
Best: KVD
Best Hookset: Rick Clun (favorite tournament angler)
Honorable Mention: Aaron Martens
