Changed back from the Cane Thumpers to Skinny Dippers. Cane Thumpers catch fish and are very durable but the Skinny Dipper seems to catch bigger fish and lasts 3-4 fish usually so pretty durable also. Image

How long is that trailer? Also fwiw to the op... when im in heavily stained or flat out dirty water.. I will retrieve 5-10' at a time and pause in between till it hits bottom. .... seems to work well for me...opposed to a constant steady retrieve. Get most hits after that pause.. especially with low visibility. ..

Keitech swing impact fat for me. Course, that's pretty much all I ever use on any swim jig type bait. In really muddy water I'd go with gold flash, chartreuse, or pink.

Try a 6" Culprit Fat Max, kind of like an elongated grub with a mega tail. I like them for swim jigs but haven't personally tried on a chatterbait; I fish 95% super clear water and just use flukes always for bladed swim jigs...

Yamamoto heart shape thumps hard, and gets bit. I throw those for a big profile, or Lake fork magic shad for smaller.

In Dirty Water I always reach for the Havoc Subwoofer for my chatterbait trailers.
