Curado 50E & spinnerbaits.

I use one for shallow cranks and spinnerbaits under 1/2oz and it works fine. I don't think I would go heavier though.

X2 - I find myself using my 50E for smaller spinnerbaits quite often. I hardly ever burn them back so keep that in mind. I really like the reel and wish I had bought another back when they were on sale everywhere.

I use the Curado 50E for spinnerbaits and love it. The retrieve / IPT is perfect for slow rolling or medium retrieve.

I love the shape/ergonomics, smoothness, & casting distance. Set it and forget it, great trouble free performance.

Excellent for spinnerbaits!!! I throw a 3/8 spinnerbait on a curado 51 all the time!

i use it for shallow cranks and light spinners as well. Its a sweet, smooth , hassle free reel

What size line are you guys using? I had problems when i ran 12lb. With 8lb i could cast a mile but with the 12lb it was about half the distance.

I perfer the 200 series for spinnerbaits. I make long casts in clear water though almost all the time!

For long-range casts and 14-17lbs + test, you really need a larger spool... Like the 200 size has!

I agree with the above posts, and i also use a 201E7 for spinnerbaits. i use my 51E's for more finesse tactics
