Before this year I was a 3-4 rod kind of guy... now, I can't seem to bring less than 6, and lately 7... it just keeps growing!!!

I usually bring 1 for topwater always no matter what time of day, 1 for texas rigged worms, 1 for tubes, 1 for cranks and that is all i bring, any more and then tend to get in the way.
