Post by goldrod » Mon Feb 22, 2021 2:24 pm

I’m using a zoom brush hog because I has resistance to on the fall and separation from the weight is easily achieved
Anyone else using brush hog?

I use the brush hog on a c-rig often.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

I haven’t used it much for c rigs
I’ve been working it as a free Rig and my bites have been on the drop after the weight has hit bottom and the bait is still coming down.
I’m putting a line stoop on than a rubber ball with filled with rattle stuff then the hook which is a decoy Wide gap type hook. I’m still tweaking it but fir now just using a 6’11” rod and bank fishing

I have been thinking of trying a free rig for some of the river fishing I do. The idea will be to use a Lindy Walking Sinker and a Hula Grub. The plastic should offer close to max drag and the sinker should be ideal for working across the rocky bottom if I don't get bit on the fall.
