17 Shimano Z-Pride
Looking for any first hand feedback from anyone who owns the 17 Z-Pride. -Castablility (built for distance?, Is the mag braking finicky or forgiving?, is there a need to often adjust brakes? Ability to cast non aerodynamic lures?) -How does it skip in comparison to a Daiwa SV reel. -Buyer Pride or R...

Re: Rods You Have Aquired For 2019
i picked up the drt remix 73 and 85, the gan craft superbrain, legit travel swimbait rod so far. Those are some deep JDM pickups. Nice sourcing. I figured the drt x tulala rods were beyond reach short of traveling to Japan. I was thinking the same thing...very nice pickups Derek At first when I saw...

Beautiful rod. Always viewed Olympic as high end but with a hint of value. Makes me feel thrifty and budget minded for buying that EG RS Limited Stallion this morning.

What do you suggest that is strong and won't break the bank?

Re: Hedgehog vs ZPI
I have both the ZPI and the HH Air. When I first recieved the HH Air and put them in my Steez A the noise drove me crazy. I immedialty took them out, cleaned them and actually ran them dry (loud, but I could hear them breaking in throught the day) until the oil that I ordered arrived. After applying...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw
TT should do a 1 day contest with users guessing the price. Correct price picks go into a hat and get a prize. Let's look at some numbers, Diawa Retail vs. TW Retail: For the sake of comparison lets assume the exchange rate is $1=100Y and I will ballpark my %. Steez A: 46400 Y vs $499 (+7%) Steez SV...

Althogh not a direct color match, I think they go very well together....LowRange wrote:How well does the purple on the Hyuga match the Daiwa SLP purple? Are they the same shade of purple?

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW
What is the spool weight? The shallower spool makes me think finesse capable, unless the Mag-Z is very stiff... That stock spool is a pretty deep spool. See above where owner estimates 16#/80yds. It is deeper than the previous Morethan by a good stretch, 200 meters of 1.5 PE compared to 150 meter o...

So who exactly is your source for "Word is"? All this hubbub over a $699 US price that does not and will not exist. I'll still buy from a JDM source regardless, but I've got to call fake news when I see it.

Re: Rod Shipping
Shipped three rods in a 3" x 87 inch pvc tube from Vegas to Fl this week via Fed EX. $36 with $499 insurance (rods are worth way more, but hedging by bets). Gauranteed 4 business day delivery. Well worth the cost to fish with my own stuff.

Posted this a while back. Both Daiwa and Shimano announced price increases for the new year. Obviously individual sellers will do what they will over and above the stated amount.

Re: Steez LTD
Another question on the Steez Ltd... I went to change spool bearing on the stock SV spool and noticed a big/heavy bearing cup on the spool shaft. This has to add 2 or so grams to this spool. I forgot the weigh it but the spool as a whole weighed around 15 grams. Anyway to take this bearing cup out ...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW
Fellas; I’m trying to learn about and enjoy tackle here and am losing the message among the slapping. Unfortunately I didn’t get as much out of that tear down tutorial as someone who knows the reel guts well would. So it is made out of the bronze, right? That’s the conclusion? A yes/no, other will ...
