Re: I need Loomis help
Nothing even remotely close to tip heavy with an NRX. I've got an NRX 873 with a Core as my jig rod. It's disgusting. You won't be disappointed.

Reaction Baits on GLX 894 JWR or Shimano Crucial 7'2"MHXFast
I was wondering if anyone has any experience throwing 1/2oz. chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, or swim jigs on the GLX 894 JWR or Shimano Crucial 7'2"MH X Fast. I have mainly been using an MBR 844 GLX but am looking for a longer Loomis or Shimano that has a better tip to let the fish eat the bait better a...

Re: "The Hookup Tackle" and my IMX SJR 844
I live out here in AZ and the last 5 rods I have bought have all been from The Hookup Tackle. They are awesome! If your a big Loomis guy like I am, their G. Loomis rep samples are the only way to go. Great deals!
Also their trade in program for Dobyns Rods are awesome too!

Re: Spinning Rod For Senkos
I also use the NRX 852S. I have two of them. One for wacky rigged senkos and one for drop shotting. Best spinning rod I've used by far.

Re: Any new NRX rods coming out at iCast?
I would love to see Loomis revamp IMX much the way they did GLX and GL2! I need a new chatterbait rod.

Re: Crankbait rod under 200$?
I just bought a Shimano Crucial 7'11" MH Crankbait Rod for throwing DD22's and other deep diving crankbaits amd it is awesome! Paid about $152 for it with during a memorial day sale, retails for $180. Put a Chronarch 200E5 on it and it is everything I could want in a deep diving crankbait setup. Lig...

Dobyns Champion Extreme 762sf drop shot
I broke my Lamiglas drop shot special II for the second time. I am done with that rod and looking at getting my first Dobyns. Has anyone used the 762sf for drop shotting? I have an NRX 852s which I use for shaky heads and senkos, would love another one for dropshotting but figured I'd give this Doby...

Re: G Loomis NRX 873C CRR for T-Rigs
I bought this rod not all that long ago for T-Rigs and Jigs. It is siiiiiiiiiiiiiick! I have it matched with a Core 100MG, the whole thing weighs less than a can of soda. From fishing it I noticed it handles 1/2 oz - 3/4 oz. jigs perfectly. It also handle 3/8 oz. - 1/2 oz. T-Rigs perfectly. 1/4 oz. ...

New GLX 894 Flipping Stick
I was looking to some info and opinions from guys that have used the new GLX flipping sticks, particularly the 894. I would be using it for flipping and pitching 1/4 oz. - 1/2 oz. plastics to sparse / heavy brush piles with 20 lb. fluoro or 65 lb. braid. I am currently using an old Lamiglas XFT 806 ...

Re: GLX Jig Rod Question
I recently had similar questions when shopping for a new Loomis jig rod. I was previously using an MBR 844 GLX which I still consider one of the greatest jig rods ever. I decided on the NRX 873 for almost the exact same uses your describing. It is an amazing pitching jig rod and handles up to 1 oz. ...
