Powerful, but fast retrieve low profile
Hi guys, I need a powerful but fast retrieve low profile baitcaster in order to fish Golden Dorado. The reel has to have line capacity, be powerful because of the strenght and size of the fish and be fast, because this fish runs fast as hell... Daiwa Lexa 300 7.1:1...? Has this reel a powerful retri...

Re: On the market for a long distance baitcaster
Yeah, I saw a review here in TT forum. Heavier and bigger, or not? In a picture I saw it bigger than the Scorpion...Bootytrain wrote:Same body, a lot heavierMarcos82 wrote:The Shimano Exsense DC is like a Core 100 with DC, right?

Re: Daiwa Tatula Issue?
Fluorcarbon or not... This is not good. Today a lot of people use braid and although someone use braid and a fast action rod, reels should be able to handle it. This is the first negative point about the Tatula... Would like to hear about other people using braid and the Tatula...

Can the Tatula throw big Lures as well? I mean like a Super Shad Rap, a CD Magnum 18 or a Luhr Jensen Amazon Ripper.

Re: lexa 400 size info?
There are a couple of YT vids with the Lexa 400 in them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_YYgczleP0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw_oB7x6R6c I don't know Ish's personal specs, like if he has small hands or not but you get a sense of the size of the reel as he holds it. All I can say is DAT HANDLE...

Re: Zillion Type R or Tatula Type R????
I am sorry to bother you sooo much with questions, but although I decided to go with the Zillion, now I am not quite sure about which one of them. The Type R is the go to option for me, but it is really expensive. I live in Argentina and the exchange rate is 6 to 1 with the USD. So you can understa...

How does a BC drag system work?
I am kind of new using baitcasters(3 to 4 years more or less). In another post someone told me that changing the washers of a reel gives you more drag power. I would like to know how the drag works on a BC. The obvious thing is you tighten up the star and you put more pressure on the spool I supose....

Re: Zillion Type R, Chronarch 150 CI4 or Abu Premier Gen3???
Why not get the Zillion Type R and change the gears out to 6.3:1. That would be great, but... is it possible? It will cost some extra money as well... Does this aplly to any Zillion? Could I change the gears of a crazy cranker to a 6.3:1 gear for example? How long is the handle of the crazy cranker...

Re: Daiwa Zillion Type R or Shimano Chronarch CI4+?
I have some gift card money to burn at my local Academy Sports and am looking to purchase a new bait caster. I usually use spinning reels since I predominately fish from a kayak, and my current bait caster is a Abu CL4 6500 that is nearly 10 years old. The only time I really use it is for when I go...

Did you see the price on the Z200 in TW????
Maybe I am asking too much, but does someone the Zillion Type R and the Z200 in order to take a pic and post it, to see the size difference?
