Re: 50 or 60 lb Sufix FX2 Froggin' braid

You mean Sunline FX2? I have both 50 and 60lb... I bought what was on sale at the time. I don't think you can go wrong with either, it's pretty granular to get into ~85% lb strength differences. I just pulled them both out and you can "see" the difference in diameter (especially with the 80lb I have...

Re: Anyone here fish Walleye?

Anyone here like to target walleye? Bass doesn't open here until June, but walleye and pike are open pretty soon here. I am going for walleye next weekend and was wondering what's a good technique for walleye? Can you guys catch and release bass until June, or what would DNR do to you if you let sa...

Re: Anyone here fish Walleye?

Well if you're river fishing blind (or possibly at the mouth in woods bay?) I would bring some crankbaits and troll locations where the water changes temp or clarity. I'd probably bring some heavier live bait style jigs and bounce them off the bottom while drifting too. You're far enough south that ...

Re: Anyone here fish Walleye?

What waters are you fishing? I've fished of the pipestone chain (SW Ontario) specifically in deep, clear, and cold water (mainly boulder rock bottom). If you're intending to catch them artificials only you may want to bring some live bait rigs (or troll hardbaits) to find them first and then test wh...

Re: Frogs and Flouro

I would consider carrying a spare spool. One with braid and one Fluoro. You're going to have to re-tie anyway.

Re: Daiwa JDM Steez LTD SV 105XH

I've seen where the oil is dinged as a prohibited item with regard to customs. So if the oil was omitted that is most likely the reason.

Thanks,

Re: Frog Rod ideas????

I fish hollow body frogs by dragging and twitching them over Lilly pads. Rod tip up presentation. Not much walking can be done in the thick cover I fish. I'm tall, 6'5, so a longer rod isn't too much for me to handle. That's exactly how I fish a frog and in the same conditions. Some of my best fish...

Re: Skipping with BFS Reels

The magnetic field generated in disturbance according to Faraday's law is linearly proportional to EMF generated, rotational velocitytr, and time. The centrifugal force is based on mass times velocity squared divided by the radius so the break does get stronger "faster" as you increase the rotation...

Re: Luxxe Oltre B70H or ???

Going back through my records, it looks like I paid 10,000 yen for shipping (though the exchange rate was a bit more in favor of the Yen). Shipped via FedEx and the rods arrived in perfect condition. Thank you. Do you remember if you also had to pay for handling or was it just the rod + shipping an...
