Rod for 1/2oz - 1 1/2oz topwater?
Hi Guys, I am looking for a rod that can throw topwater lures between 1/2 to 1 1/2 ounces. I'll also be using it for small swimbaits and glide baits like the River 2 Sea S Waver 168 (about 1 1/2 ounces). I am currently using a 6'8 St. Croix Avid Medium XFast rod for my topwater. Since I just picked ...

Re: Evergreen Wild Hunch
I'll be testing the action tomorrow on my "lunch break"
I'll give it a couple casts but I think it's going to be a jerkbait with loooooong pauses type day since it's just starting to warm up here.

Re: Evergreen Wild Hunch
I ended up getting the 03 and 05 in the American Shad Color. Excited to get out and throw them in another week or two. 60 degree weather in the forecast this week in NJ!

Re: Red hooks?
I saw a youtube video over the winter where a guy stated that after testing for years he found putting a red treble on the front of a topwater increased his hook up ratio. His thoughts were that it gives the fish something to target, especially when fishing spooks/walk the dog topwater lures where y...

Megabass Balsa Max
Has anyone fished the Balsa Max? I've done really well on the pop max so decided to grab one to try this year. I got the long version so it's slightly heavier and larger than the original pop max. I saw somewhere that it sits lower in the water and is more effective fished faster whereas the origina...

I have a $200 order coming but still holding out hope I can save a couple bucks. If nothing for the classic I'll probably just go ahead with it.

I am hoping that some of the e-tailers will do a classic sale. Anyone heard anything yet about upcoming sales? Was bummed I didn't see any for presidents day weekend.

Entry level swimbait rod for around $100?
Hi Guys, Looking to possibly get into swimbaiting (and glide baits for that matter) this year which would require buying a rod to throw those heavy baits. Since I live in NJ I will be throwing mostly smaller swim baits in the 1-3oz range. I don't see myself throwing any of the monster 5 and 6oz bait...

Bucca Bull Shad 5" - has slow sink been corrected?
Hi Guys, Looking at getting a 5" bull Shad slow sink. According to the tackle tour review the 5" slow sink size was more of a fast sink than slow sink. I don't have access to a boat so will be using this shore fishing and don't want to have to worry about losing it. Also plan on fishing it over the ...

Please report what your thoughts are on casting distance when you get a chance to use the reel. Very interested to see how it performs casting wise.

Re: First time Glider
Looking to get my first glide bait is it worth it to spend the extra cash on the Megabass i Glide over the River2Sea S Waver? Also not a glide bait but was looking at the bucca bull shad in 5" slow sink. Looking for something I can still throw on regular tackle fishing in the northeast

Re: Yokohama 2016 (pics heavy)
Can anyone figure out what the line cap on the spool says on that Zillion HLC? Looks like 85m of 16lb test? Any idea what these will go for? Looks pretty sweet here you go, http://tzlure.com/2016-zillion-tw-hlc.html http://www.daiwaweb.com/jp/fishing/item/reel/bait_rl/zillion_tw_hlc/index.html Than...
